Every now and then I get a wild hair up my ass to go and check the local water utilities “water quality” report. One, because I know that water is an essential part of a body’s cellular structure. And keeping hydrated is just a good idea. Two, because no one else out there actually gives an s-t what they pour down their body. Just in case you’re a little curious now, every municipality has to create a report of what is actually in the water they pump into your house or workplace.
Although it’s readily available, no one looks at it. If you did, you would wonder how they get away with allowing all that shit into our water supply. The so-called water treatment plants are a breeding ground for contaminants. It’s like they say, “hiding in plain sight”. Since they put out the report and bury it on their website, they feel like they are giving the public what they need to be aware. The problem is that John & Jane Q public are too wrapped up in their bulls-t life to think about why they can’t think about anything.
One of the greatest crimes committed against an extremely dumbed down public is the additive of fluoride in the water supply. I’m still dumbfounded when I look for the reasoning of such stupidity. We’re told that fluoridation helps prevent cavities in children and adults. Yet, not one study that has ever come out supports that line of bulls-t. Fluoridation added to water, in theory, sounded good back in the ’70s. This is when everyone was still high from the ’60s. Today everything has fluoride in it from toothpaste to mouthwash…
With a big warning, “Do Not Swallow”.
So I don’t get it wrong and the idiots try to come out of the woodwork and scream foul. I’m walking into my bathroom and picking up my toothpaste. I won’t mention the brand, but it might rhyme with tollgate. The warning says: If more than used for brushing is accidentally swallowed, get medical help or contact poison control right away.
Now guess how much fluoride is in my tube of toothpaste. Come on, don’t be shy… Guess, or just go over to your toothpaste and read the f-ing ingredients. Mine says 0.78% which, if you use the recommended amount is really about a pea-sized glob. So a pea-sized glob of toothpaste has a stern warning to call poison control but an 8 oz glass of water from your tap is a recommended entity. We actually stand for this. I see “Black Lives Matter” protests over cops killing blacks but not a peep from them about poison in the water. Maybe they like every other politician didn’t read the study out of Harvard, yea… The little University where supposedly smart people come out of.
So, there was this study that was published on October 12, 2012, in Environmental Health Perspectives titled, “Developmental Fluoride Neurotoxicity: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis” look it up… It’s some horrifying reading. The first line (Background) of the study abstract states; “Although fluoride may cause neurotoxicity in animal models and acute fluoride poisoning causes neurotoxicity in adults, very little is known of its effects on children’s neurodevelopment.” Now, for those of you who don’t know what neurotoxicity is, let’s play hooked on phonics and decipher its meaning. Oh look, “neuro” meaning “brain” – “toxic” meaning f-king bad for you. So now we know that these scientists already knew that fluoride was f-cking bad for your brain… Well, you being an adult and all. You may be a rodent but that’s between you and your God.
These scientists wanted to know the effects of this poison on developing brains even if they already know that there were already problems with fluoridated water in adults.
Here’s What They Found Out
The average loss in IQ was reported as a standardized weighted mean difference of 0.45. Which would be approximately equivalent to seven IQ points for commonly used IQ scores with a standard deviation of 15. Some studies suggested that even slightly increased fluoride exposure could be toxic to the brain. Thus, children in high-fluoride areas had significantly lower IQ scores than those who lived in low-fluoride areas.
One of the main authors stated; “Fluoride seems to fit in with lead, mercury, and other poisons that cause chemical brain drain, the effect of each toxicant may seem small, but the combined damage on a population scale can be serious, especially because the brain power of the next generation is crucial to all of us.”
There’s always going to be controversy on this subject. So-called conspiracy theorists talk about the Nazi’s using fluoride to create docility in the population. There are scientists paid many millions of dollars to find the results that show whatever the people needing the data to want it to show. My opinion is that the government from local or federal levels should stay the f-k out of our bodies. Preventing tooth decay really isn’t a big deal. Why not ditch the fluoride treatments, create “real” eating guidelines – even eating healthy on a budget isn’t really impossible (not the bullshit the USDA spews). And let people decide for themselves if they want their teeth to fall out or not. I had a few cavities when I was young and I have to tell you I didn’t die from it.
