The Real Reason the word “Obesity” is in the News

I have been telling everyone for years that people are fat and getting fatter but over the past 3 years we have seen newscast after newscast, primetime specials and movies touted the “great obesity” epidemic. Everything is to blame from parents to soda vending machines in schools.

Make no mistake…the real reason that obesity is in the news so often with such fervor is that their is a lot of money to be had from our government in the form of research grants. If the fear wasn’t there then the Universities wouldn’t get any money and research scientists would be out selling Avon to their neighbors. Here are a some places that about 50 million or so went in the form of research grants from our government to battle the so called obesity epidemic.
